Out of the box the stem double-tap is usually Siri, so nothing reaches the app. Check in iPhone Settings → Bluetooth → AirPods that one side is Play/Pause. MISS stays on the on-screen button.
Beats Fit Pro / Studio Buds

Samsung ships single tap as play/pause and double tap as next track, which is exactly what Shot:DNA listens for. Triple tap and touch-and-hold are ignored.

By default only the right earbud controls playback; the left one is noise cancelling. If nothing registers, check in Sony Sound Connect that one side is still on Playback control.

Cheap buds usually split next/previous across left and right, so MISS may only work from one earbud. Wear both.

The + and – buttons are volume only; they never reach the page.
Nothing registers? Fix it here
- Check the buds are actually connected to this phone — Bluetooth settings, not just in your ears.
- Some buds ship with the stem gesture on noise control or the voice assistant, so no press ever reaches the app. Check in the maker's app that it is play/pause.
- Stop any music or video playing in another app — another app holding the audio stops presses reaching Shot:DNA.
- On Android, if nothing registers at all, remove Shot:DNA from battery optimisation in system settings.
- On iPhone the safest bet is: start your music first (the training mix does it for you), put the phone away, then shoot.

Nothing yet. Press your earbud button once — you should see a line appear.
- play/pause → single tap (MAKE)
- nexttrack/seekforward → double tap (MISS, instant)
- Two play/pause events ~250 ms apart → double tap (MISS, 320 ms window)
- No events at all → your buds' gesture is probably on noise control or the assistant, or another app owns the audio.
