Privacy Policy

Shot:DNA is operated by Andrei Dziarkach (sole proprietor). For any privacy question, data request, or to report an account belonging to a child under 13, contact dziarkach@gmail.com.

• Account info: email, display name, optional avatar.
• Player profile: handedness, height, wingspan, position, units, coach preferences. You provide these — they help us interpret your shooting.
• Videos you upload or record: side-on and optional front-on clips of your shooting.
• Derived shooting data: body joint positions (pose), ball and rim tracking, elbow/knee/release angles, arc, tempo, make/miss outcomes, and aggregate session metrics computed from your videos.
• Game and progress data: runs, scores, streaks, card inventory, leaderboard entries.
• Payment metadata: subscription status, plan, billing period. We never see your card number — Stripe handles that directly.
• Device and session info: browser type, device performance signals, time zone offset, error logs.

• Deliver the shooting analysis you signed up for.
• Show you progress over time, compare you to your own baseline, and run the games and leaderboards.
• Process payments and provide customer support.
• Diagnose bugs and keep the service running.
• With your explicit, separate permission (off by default — you can turn it on at signup or any time in Settings), use your shooting data to improve our models. We never include your uploads in training unless you opt in.

When you upload a shooting clip, our pipeline computes body-joint coordinates (a skeletal pose) and body measurements (handedness, height, wingspan if provided). Some jurisdictions — notably under GDPR Article 9 in parts of the European Economic Area — may treat this kind of data as biometric or otherwise sensitive.

Legal basis: performance of our contract with you for the core analysis features, and your separate, explicit consent for the model-training use described above. We do not sell or share this data with advertisers, and we do not use it to identify you outside of your own account.

Retention & destruction. Skeletal-pose data and derived shooting measurements are retained for the life of your Shot:DNA account so we can show you progress over time. When you delete your account we destroy this data, along with your videos, profile and game history, within 30 days. Backups that include these records are overwritten on a rolling 35-day cycle.

Illinois residents (BIPA). Shot:DNA is not currently offered to residents of Illinois because of the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act. Signups from Illinois are blocked at account creation. If you believe you created an Illinois-based account in error, email dziarkach@gmail.com and we will close and delete it.

We use the following processors. They only act on our instructions:

• Supabase — authentication, database, file storage.
• Cloudflare — application hosting and CDN.
• Modal Labs — GPU compute that runs the video analysis.
• ElevenLabs — voice generation for the in-app coach.
• Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing.
• Hugging Face — content-delivery for AI model weights (no personal data sent).
• Roboflow — model training assets (no personal data sent).

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers.

• Raw videos on the free tier: deleted automatically about 30 days after upload. Your shot measurements, charts and coach feedback stay forever.
• Raw videos on paid plans: kept until you delete the session or your account.
• Account and shooting data: kept while your account exists. When you delete your account, we remove your profile, sessions, shots, measurements, game results and avatar within 30 days. Anonymous aggregate statistics (e.g. "average release angle across all users") may be retained.
• Payment records: Stripe retains transaction records as required by tax and accounting law.

• Access & export: email dziarkach@gmail.com and we'll send you a copy of your data within 30 days.
• Correction: edit your profile in Settings, or email us.
• Deletion: Settings → Account menu → Delete account. This is permanent and cannot be undone.
• Model-training opt-out: Settings → Privacy & data. Once disabled, future uploads will not be used to improve models.
• EEA/UK residents: you also have the right to object, restrict processing, and lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
• California residents: you have the right to know, delete and opt-out of "sale" of personal information. We do not sell personal information.

We respond within 30 days. For complex or numerous requests we may extend by up to two additional months and will tell you the reason for the extension within the original 30-day window.

Shot:DNA is not directed at children under 13. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you live in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another country with a higher digital-consent age, you must be at least 16, or have a parent or legal guardian's permission.

If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact dziarkach@gmail.com and we will delete the account promptly.

You are responsible for ensuring that anyone visible in clips you upload — other players, coaches, bystanders — has consented to being filmed and to having that footage processed by Shot:DNA. Do not upload clips of people who haven't consented, especially minors who are not your own child or player you coach.

We use first-party cookies and browser storage strictly to keep you signed in and remember your preferences (e.g. coach voice, units). We do not use third-party advertising trackers or analytics that profile individuals.

We encrypt data in transit (HTTPS). Videos and database rows are stored on Supabase with row-level security so only you (or a service worker acting on your behalf) can read your data. No system is perfectly secure — if we discover a breach affecting your account, we will notify you without undue delay.

Our servers and processors are primarily located in the United States and the European Union. By using Shot:DNA, you understand that your data may be processed in countries other than where you live.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email. The effective date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
